About Library
University library has highly specialized collections of 53435 book collections in Agriculture and Allied Sciences which includes Books (27127), Theses (2490), Bound Journals,(6726)- Government Publications(3200), -Book Bank Text books, (13738) and 154 CD-ROMs. ,100 eBooks etc.) Books are organized on shelves with DDC classification scheme. Central Library subscribes 34 Indian print journals and 8 Newspapers and 16 Magazines also. In addition to these 24x7 hours online access facility of eBooks ( 100 lifetime access ) e-journals (CeRa access) and open access ICAR e-journals are also available in campus Reprographic service is available in library . 0.50 Paisa per page is charged from student and staff. (Excluding official Xeroxing)
The university library was started in 2013 with existing college library building in Jobner. The university library has existing area of about 14000 sq feet which is mainly scattered in different units with congenial environment to its all readers and good ventilated spacious air-conditioned reading rooms to provide dedicated services.
The primary mission of the university library is to provide adequate support for teaching , research and extension programs by maximizing digital information resources to teacher’s ,scientists, students, researchers, farmers, trainees ,agricultural officers and other users of different units of SKNAU. The vision of university library is to make Digital Resource Learning Center for all constituent’s colleges, Institute and other units of the university. The objectives behind university library is to create a digital learning environment adhering with teaching, research and extension programs of the university along with comprehensive collections of conventional documents and digital learning environment which includes ,modern ICT infrastructure facilities well equipped with RFID system ,CCTV , UPS, AC , Xerox Machine , Dehumidifiers, Printers and Computers providing Internet Surfing with 24x7 hours high speed Wi-Fi Internet Laptop zone facility in the library , campus & hostels. Online Public Access Catalog (Webopac, CeRa online Journals and, online theses, lifetime e- books access and Digital database service
BOOK BANK FACILITY
Computerized Book Bank facility is totally open to all students and staff of this college for their selection ,issue along with consultations of reading materials .An open access system has been adopted for consultation and selection of books Book are issued to all SC/ST students free of charge and other general category of students on rental basis (Rs 10 per books) . Book Bank membership charges is Rs 100 per semester and Rs 1200 library security deposit (refundable) from all enrolled students. The books are issued for complete one semester through single window system i.e. RFID KIOSK system. More than 14000 UG/PG collections of textbooks are available to all students book bank facility is also available in the College of Agriculture at Lalsot (Dausa) , Bharatpur and Fatehpur (Sikar).
CERA CUM COMPUTER UNIT
Air-conditioned ceRa unit has been established with latest desktop computers to facilitate all students who can access online e -resource facilities provided by ICAR and university central library both. Besides these 24x7 hours online e resource facilities are also available in campus / hostels.
LIBRARY AUTOMATION SERVICE
The library is fully computerized with KOHA software along with enabled with RFID system. More than 53435 books collections of library have been tagged with Radio Chips for computerized checkout / check in services on RFID KIOSK . KOHA (library software) online catalogue (webopac) / MOPAC facilities have been provided to all users of constituent colleges of university . More than 69681 catalogue records of university library have been digitized and uploaded on koha Webopac (http://14.139.51.40/)
KRUSHIKOSH DATABASE /E RESOURCES
More than 2500 digitized materials (including 1800 Theses, Reports / Question Paper / Manual/ Research Papers etc) have been uploaded on ICAR- Krushikosh Portal ( under Intuitional Repositories ) (https://krishikosh.egranth.ac.in/handle/1/84614) .
LIBRARY FACILITIES OF CONSTITUENT COLLEGES
Besides main campus, the library infrastructure facilities/ e Resources / Inter Library Loan Services have been provided to the constituents colleges of the university . presently College of Agriculture located at, Lalsot Dausa Bharatpur , Fathpur, Sikar Basedi Dholpur Kotputli , RARI Durgapura , Jhilai Bhusavar , Neem ka Thana Sikar , Navagaon Alwar , Kishangarhbaaas Alwar and Jobner and .More than 69681 collections of books have been uploaded on koha database software which can be accessed through webopac facility (http://14.139.51.38/webopac): COA , Lalsot Dausa is also computerized & enabled with RFID system
UNIVERSITY LIBRARIANS (2013 ONWARDS)

The present library is as old as with its establishment of this college. The library is organized with specialized collections of 47918 documents in fields of Agricultural Sciences, Biological Sciences, Basic Sciences, Humanities, Technology, Veterinary Sciences, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries & other allied subjects. The collection includes Books, Theses, Periodicals, Government Publications, Maps, & CD-ROMs. The library has been modernized with well equipped CCTV, UPS, AC system , Xerox machine , printer and computers providing Internet Surfing, e journals, e theses and e catalogue (webopac), e books (Open Access) and CDROM databases facilities .The library e resource facilities have been provided to all students and teachers of this college on Internet / Intranet Wi-Fi system.
The Book Bank facility has been provided to all students and staff of this college. Library subscribes 34 current print journals and 10 Newspapers and 12 Magazines and 10 Agricultural Newspapers. The main objectives of the library are to develop and promote information resources to students, faculty, researchers, scientists, trainees and agricultural officers both in conventional and electronic format. The library has congenial environment, good ventilated and spacious reading rooms to its readers.The present library has seven main units providing Reference/ Referral services, User awareness services/ Orientation services, Newspapers, Internet-CDROM services Abstracting services, Book Bank services, Circulation cum reading services, Current awareness services, Bibliographic services, Reprographic services, Interlibrary Loan services, online journals /theses access and OPAC services to 500 students, 55 faculty members, 120 supporting staff members of this college.
