Dr. Attar is a distinguished academician and expert in the field of Horticulture, with over 18 years of rich experience in teaching, research, and extension. He specializes in Fruit Science and currently serves as the Dean & Professor (Horticulture) at College of Agriculture, Fatehpur-Shekhawati, Sikar, Rajasthan. He holds both M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Fruit Science from the prestigious Dr. Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Solan (Himachal Pradesh). Prior to his current role, Dr. Attar served at Navsari Agricultural University, Gujarat, for a decade (2008–2018), where he significantly contributed to horticultural research, academic development, and farmer outreach initiatives. Dr. Attar is recognized as a subject expert and master trainer in horticultural crops, especially in nursery management, nutrient management, and post-harvest handling. He has trained thousands of students, farmers, and field officers through various training programs, workshops, and seminars. He has made impactful contributions in Agro-Climatic Zone IIA (Transitional Plain of Inland Drainage Zone, Rajasthan), and has provided practical and research based recommendations for improving horticulture production and management systems suited to this region. Dr. Attar is an active member of several professional bodies and scientific societies, including the Indian Science Congress Association, and other national and regional associations. His active engagement in these forums reflects his commitment to academic excellence, knowledge sharing, and advancement of horticultural science. Dr. Attar has authored over 50 research papers in reputed peer-reviewed national and international journals, several book chapters, and popular articles on horticultural advancements. His work continues to influence horticulture policy, extension services, and farm-level practices.
