1. Awards

The following gold medals shall be awarded each year to outstanding candidates based on the results of the University examination (OGPA 6.5/10.00 in UG and 8.0/10.00 for PG programme):

• 1.1 Bachelor of Science in Agriculture B. Sc. (Ag.) Hons Examination of this University.
• 1.2 Post-graduate examination for groups of:
  • I. PBG, Horticulture and Plant Physiology
  • II. Agronomy and Soil Science
  • III. Entomology, Plant Pathology and Nematology
  • IV. LPM, Ext. Education and Agriculture Economics
• 1.3 Three gold medals i.e. Chancellor, Vice–Chancellor, and University Gold Medal will be awarded each year among all disciplines.

2. Scholarships and Fellowships

2.1 University Merit Scholarships

The following University Merit Scholarships are awarded to students standing first in order of merit at the post-graduate examination of this University. The eligibility for merit scholarship for M. Sc. (Ag.) and Ph. D. students shall be a minimum OGPA of 7.50 out of 10.00 in the first semester.

• 2.1.1 M.Sc. (Ag.) Programme: Three scholarships to be awarded in each group based on merit (highest OGPA/Marks with minimum suggested OGPA in the first semester) for a period of 24 months.
  Rates: I Topper: Rs 1600/-, II Topper: Rs 1300/-, III Topper: Rs 1000/- per month.
• 2.1.2 Ph.D. Programme: Three scholarships to be awarded in each group based on merit for a period of 24 months. (Total period: 30 months).
  Rates: I Topper: Rs 2000/-, II Topper: Rs 1500/-, III Topper: Rs 1000/- per month.
• 2.1.3 Only bonafide residents of the state of Rajasthan may apply for PG scholarships.

2.2 Scholarships offered by different departments

• 2.2.1 Post Metric Scholarship (SC/ ST/ OBC/ Minorities/ PH): Awarded by Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of Rajasthan to all eligible UG/PG students.
• 2.2.2 National Talent Scholarship (NTS): Awarded by ICAR to students other than residents of Rajasthan admitted in UG programme through All India Joint Entrance Examination.
• 2.2.3 Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) & Senior Research Fellowship (SRF): Awarded by ICAR to students admitted through ICAR in PG and Ph.D. programmes respectively.
• 2.2.4 Rajeev Gandhi Fellowship: Awarded to Ph.D. students of SC/ ST/ OBC/ minorities/ PH categories.
• 2.2.5 INSPIRE Fellowship: Sponsored by DST, awarded to Ph.D. students.
• 2.2.6 Scholarship for Girls: Financial incentive given by the Department of Agriculture, Govt. of Rajasthan to girls studying in agriculture faculty.
  Rates: B.Sc. (Hons.) Ag & M.Sc. (Ag.): Rs. 12,000/- per year | Ph.D. students: Rs. 15,000/- per year.

2.3 Thesis Contingency Grant

Thesis contingency amount is also made available to M.Sc. (Ag.) students @ Rs. 500/- and Ph. D. (Course works) students @ Rs. 800/- with the following eligibility conditions:

• 2.3.1 Student must have completed course work with minimum OGPA required for the degree and passed comprehensive or preliminary examination.
• 2.3.2 Must be registered for full-time research in IV semester (M.Sc.) or III to V semester (Ph.D.).
• 2.3.3 Must have been a regular student for 4/5 consecutive semesters without a gap.
• 2.3.4 Thesis submitted not later than 5 semesters (M.Sc.) and 6 semesters (Ph.D.) of registration.
• 2.3.5 The student must not be awarded a research fellowship with a contingency grant from any other sources.
