About the College

The College of Dairy Science & Technology, Jobner has been established in 2021 by Government of Rajasthan, Agriculture (Group-3) Department office order No. F.1(5)Ag.-3/2021 dated:20.04.2021 as constituent college of SKNAU, Jobner Jaipur (Rajasthan). Initially the college has been started in the campus of SKN College of Agriculture, Jobner and sifted in new separate building of this college during September, 2024. The college has adequate infrastructural facilities in the form of Classrooms, Laboratories, Seminars/conferences halls, Library, Examination hall, Staff seating rooms, Boys and Girls hostel etc. The intake capacity of the college is 64 seats per year (44 Normal+20 Payment Seats). Students admitted through Joint Entrance Test (JET) State level examination. The name of degree programme is B. Tech. (Dairy Technology) four year degree. All the courses offered semester wise. The one academic year consists of two Semesters. During eighth semester the students shall undergo In-plant training on dairy plant operation and management in various commercial dairy plants in India ( Amul, Mother Dairy, DS group and state cooperative like RCDF, Verka, Vita, GCMMF etc. ) as organized by College of Dairy Science and Technology, Jobner.

Aims and Objectives

• To produce quality human resource through its undergraduate degree programmes.
• To develop new technologies in the field of milk processing and dairy product development.
• To conduct training programmes and vocational courses for dairy farmers, entrepreneurs & persons from dairy industry.

Facilities

Infrastructure: The following infrastructure facilities are available at CODST, Jobner.

• Class Rooms: Eight classrooms are available, out of which three are equipped with modern teaching aids for undergraduate teaching.
• Laboratories: Four well-equipped laboratories are functional, namely Dairy Technology, Dairy Engineering, Computer Lab and Engineering Drawing. Dairy Chemistry and Dairy Microbiology laboratory setups are under progress.
• Examination Hall: One examination hall with a capacity of more than 100 students.
• Staff Seating Rooms: Twelve staff seating rooms are available.
• Library: The library has sufficient textbooks, academic publications, magazines and newspapers.
• Hostel Facility: Two separate hostels are available for boys and girls with a capacity of 64 students each. The girls’ hostel is under construction.

Achievements

The first batch (31 students) of B.Tech. (Dairy Technology) passed out during the academic year 2024–25 and secured admissions in reputed postgraduate programmes and placements in dairy industries.

Sports & Cultural Activities

Students actively participate in NSS, NSO and various cultural activities.

• During 2025–26, in Intercollegiate Sports & Cultural Competitions of SKNAU, Jobner, CODST students were winners in Badminton (Men) and runners-up in Volleyball (Women), Basketball (Men & Women), Badminton (Women), and secured 3rd position in Cultural Activity (Mime).
