About the College

College of Agriculture Bhusawar, Bharatpur was established on 7 April 2021 vide letter no P1(7) Ag-3/2021 Govt of Rajasthan under Sri Karan Narendra Agriculture University (SKNAU) Jobner. It is a constituent college established with the mandate to provide quality education for undergraduates in the discipline of Agriculture.

The college is situated at latitude 27°01'59.9"N and longitude 77°04'08.2"E in agro-climatic zone III B (Flood Prone Eastern Plain Zone) of Rajasthan. It imparts skill-enhancing curriculum including nursery management, food processing, commercial horticulture, protected cultivation, organic farming, and AI-based cultivation.

The city Bhusawar, established by Raja Pratap Singh in 1726, is known as the "Town of Gardens" and "Laghukashi". It is famous for its best quality pickles and murrabba in Rajasthan.

Admission Procedure

Admission to B.Sc. (Hons) Ag programme (64 seats) is done through Joint Entrance Test (JET) for bonafide residents of Rajasthan.

Infrastructure & Facilities

The college maintains a dedicated farm of 30 Ha (13.77 ha at Kalmi Bag and 16.23 ha at Senthali village). Facilities include:

• Classrooms: Smart classrooms available at Senior Secondary School Bhusawar and Kalmi Bag.
• Laboratories: Well-equipped labs for various subjects to provide practical exposure.
• Library: Collection of 636 books and national newspapers.

Dr. Udai Bhan Singh, Professor (Horticulture) and Dean College of Agriculture Bhusawar (Weir) Bharatpur. He did his B.Sc. (Ag) from Dayanand College, Ajmer and M.Sc. (Ag) and Ph.D. in Horticulture from Rajasthan College of Agriculture, Udaipur. He started his career as Assistant Professor (Horticulture) at KVK, Bhilwara in the year 1996. He served as Assistant Professor (1996-2008), Associate Professor (2008-2011) and Professor (2011 onward). He served as Officer Incharge at Agriculture Research Sub Station, Kumher (Bharatpur) from June, 2011 to June 2020 and Dean College of Agriculture Kumher from Sep, 2019 to Jan, 2020, Dean COA, Baseri (Dholpur) from 01 Feb.2020 to 09 June 2020 and Dean COA Kumher from 10 June 2020 to 19-2-2024 and joined as a Dean COA Bhusawar from 19-2-2024. Dr Udai Bhan Singh is a renowned scientist, teacher and extension worker. As a researcher he has developed 53 research recommendation for zone IIIB, published 50 research papers in journals of national and international repute. He has successfully handled six research projects apart from being a master trainer he has successfully imparted the technical knowhow and extended training to the farmers of the region. He is an eloquent orator and is also actively involved in extension activities. He is an eloquent orator and is also actively involved in extension activities. He has organized two national webinars, seminars/trainings. He has. published 31 popular articles, 6 books and 7 book chapters, issued around 102 farmers advisories through TV channels and Newspapers, delivered more than 90 radio talks and have telecasted 66 news by various TV channels. Because of his research recommendations, Ber cultivation has become a profitable business to the farmers. He is master trainer of zone IIIb and furnishing high technology of horticulture to extension personnel of Department of Agriculture. Due to his immense contribution, he has been facilitated by various professional societies for his contribution in the field of Agriculture.
