About the College

College of Agriculture, Baseri, Dholpur was notified on 5th August 2019 as a constituent college of Sri Karan Narendra Agriculture University, Jobner. The college is situated at village Khemri, Tehsil Baseri (Dholpur), which is 5 km interior to NH 23 (Bharatpur to Dholpur), connecting to Delhi, Jaipur, Gwalior, and other major cities of India. This college is about 60 km away from Bharatpur and 30 km from Dholpur City. The campus is full of greenery, and the Centre of Excellence for Mango is also operating on the college campus.

Aims & Objectives

  • To provide scientific and technical knowledge and to develop entrepreneurship skills among students in agriculture.
  • To provide value-based quality education and to make students aware of high-tech and modern agriculture.
  • To enhance the competitiveness among students and help the college to emerge as a center of excellence in agriculture.
  • To prepare students for future challenges especially in the agriculture sector.

Admission Procedure & Intake

Admission to the B.Sc. (Hons) Ag. programme is done through the JET examination. The minimum eligibility for a candidate is to have passed 12th of the 10+2 scheme with Agriculture, Biology, or Mathematics. A candidate must have secured at least 50% marks (with relaxation for reserved categories). The maximum age limit is 25 years and the candidate must be a bonafide resident of Rajasthan.

Intake Capacity: The college has an intake capacity of 64 students, out of which 40 seats are general and 24 are paid seats. Presently 184 students are enrolled across all years.

Facilities & Infrastructure

Presently, the College is running in the building handed over by the Centre of Excellence, Khemri, Baseri (Dholpur). The following facilities are available at the campus:

  • Classrooms: Well-furnished large halls are available for conducting classes.
  • Land: A total of 30.0 ha land has been allotted, which includes a 3 ha mango orchard.
  • Accommodation: The college has an administration block, staff rooms, and a separate room for the convenience of girl students.
  • Basic Amenities: RO drinking water and separate lavatory facilities for both boys and girls are available.
  • Library & Sports: Library facilities are under development. The college provides playgrounds for Kabaddi, Volleyball, and Badminton.
