Brief Profile

Dr. R.N. Sharma was born on 11.10.1969 at village Bhanpur Kalan (Jaipur-Rajasthan). Dr. Sharma had his schooling from the same village. He passed his Secondary and Higher Secondary School examinations securing first division. He also got scholarship of Gramin Pratibha Khoj at school level. Dr.R.N.Sharma passed B.Sc. (Ag.) from S.K.N. College of Agriculture Jobner in 1990 and M.Sc. Ag (Extension Education) in 1993 with Gold Medal. Then he joined as Agriculture Supervisor for a period of about one & half year and then selected as Assistant Agriculture Officer from RPSC and joined his duties for a period of about two years. During that period his services was recognized as best worker at Jaipur division. He started his professional career in SKRAU, Bikaner as Assistant Professor at KVK, Anta (Baran) from 13.05.1996 for a period of about four years then he was transferred to ARS Fatehpur Shekhawati (Sikar) for a period of ten years. He also obtained Ph.D. degree from SKNCOA, Jobner in 2004 as in service candidate with Gold Medal. He was also promoted as Associate Professor. He was again transferred to KVK, Dausa to look after additional responsibility of Senior Scientist & Head for a period of about eight years. Dr. R.N.Sharma was promoted as Professor in 2011 with effect from 13.05. 2011. Dr. Sharma was transferred to SKNCOA, Jobner in 2019 and did various responsibilities as teacher in the department, Deputy Director (Extension) at DEE office, Deputy Director (Research) at DOR office, Controller of Examinations, Director HRD, Director Education and Director Extension Education at SKNAU, Jobner. During 33 years of service career he served as a teacher, researcher, extensionist and administrator. He has more than 46 Research Papers published in International and National journals. He has also published 15 Abstract Papers in proceedings of Conferences/Seminars/Symposia etc. He has also contributed about 79 technical articles in various magazines, folders etc. He also contributed in publication of three book chapters. He has handled various non plan research projects as PI or Co-PI at ARS Fatehpur Shekhawati (Sikar) regarding impact, adoption, knowledge level and constraints in adoption of various crop technologies and also done work of characterization of Agro climatic zone III A. As an effort to disseminate latest know-how he has delivered several Radio talks. Besides being a member of a number of scientific, professional and technical committees his remarkable contribution paved way for development of Agricultural Education, Research and Extension Education. He has been the member of academic council of SKNAU, Jobner and various other committees of SKNAU, Jobner.
The role of a Controller of Examinations (CoE) is crucial in educational institutions, and their duties typically revolve around the planning, organization, and execution of examination-related activities. The CoE is directly responsible to the Vice-Chancellor and acts as member secretary of Result Committee, Grievance Committee and committee for preventing use of unfairmeans.
