ENTOMOLOGY (H.P.R.)

Dr. Bhawani Singh Meena is an Assistant Professor of Agricultural Entomology at the College of Agriculture, Baseri (Dholpur), a constituent college of Sri Karan Narendra Agriculture University (SKNAU), Jobner, Jaipur, Rajasthan. He specializes in insect pest management, host plant resistance, and integrated pest management (IPM) with a strong focus on sustainable crop protection and agricultural extension.
Dr. Meena completed his Ph.D. in Entomology from SKNAU, Jobner, with research on host plant resistance against Helicoverpa armigera in chickpea. He holds an M.Sc. in Entomology from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, and a B.Sc. (Agriculture) from MPUAT, Udaipur.
He has published 15 research papers in national and international journals, contributed 6 book chapters, and completed 6 professional trainings related to agricultural sciences. He has actively participated in several national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops.
Currently, besides teaching undergraduate agriculture courses, he is engaged in research guidance, student mentoring, and agricultural extension activities. He also serves as Students’ Section In-charge and NSO In-charge, contributing to academic coordination and student development initiatives.
His research interests include Agricultural Entomology, Integrated Pest Management, Host Plant Resistance, Insecticide Toxicology, and Crop Protection Extension Education.
