Agricultural Economics

Dr. Sheela Kharkwal is an Assistant Professor of Agricultural Economics at SKN College of Agriculture, Sri Karan Narendra Agriculture University, Jobner. A Ph.D. graduate of ICAR–National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Karnal, with first-class academic distinction, she brings over seven years of experience in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and has guided 11 Master’s and 02 Ph.D. scholars. Her research interests include agricultural production economics, marketing and value chain analysis, livelihood diversification, NSSO data analytics, and applied econometrics, with a focus on real-world agricultural and rural challenges. She has authored more than 40 research papers in reputed national and international journals, along with book chapters, manuals, extension bulletins, and popular articles, and remains actively engaged in capacity building and evidence-based policy research for sustainable agricultural development.
