Agriculture Engineering

I am Dr. Sweta Singh, an academician and researcher in the field of Agricultural Engineering, with specialization in Agricultural Process and Food Engineering. I am currently working as an Assistant Professor of Agricultural Engineering at Sri Karan Narendra Agriculture University, Jobner, Jaipur, where I have been serving for the past 8 years. My total professional experience is 9.5 years, including 1.5 years at Swami Vivekanand University, Meerut, where I gained valuable teaching and academic exposure.

I completed my Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Biotechnology in 2011, which provided me with a strong interdisciplinary foundation in biological sciences, engineering principles, and applied agricultural technologies. I went on to earn my Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Agricultural Process and Food Engineering in 2013 from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, Meerut. Motivated by a strong interest in research and innovation, I successfully completed my Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Agricultural Process and Food Engineering in 2016 from the same institution. My academic journey reflects a focused and consistent progression toward specialization in food processing, post-harvest technology, and value addition in agriculture.

Throughout my academic career, I have been actively involved in research, teaching, and scholarly publications. I have authored and co-authored more than 50 research papers published in reputed national and international journals. My research work primarily focuses on agricultural processing, food engineering, and sustainable technologies. I have also presented more than 20 research abstracts at national and international conferences, contributing to academic discussions and knowledge dissemination. In addition, I have authored 8 books and contributed over 15 book chapters, which serve as important academic resources for students, researchers, and professionals in my field.

I have a strong inclination toward innovation and technology development, and I have been granted 5 patents related to agricultural and food engineering technologies. These patents reflect my commitment to translating research outcomes into practical solutions that address real-world agricultural challenges and support sustainable development.

In recognition of my research contributions, I have been honored with the Young Scientist Award for three consecutive years (2017, 2018, and 2019). These awards have been a significant source of motivation and reflect the impact and consistency of my research work. Additionally, I received the Best Article of the Month Award in 2023 from Vigyan Varta, an international e-magazine, for one of my research publications.

I am an active member of the academic and scientific community and hold life membership in eight professional scientific societies. I have also completed three Summer and Winter Training Programs of 21 days duration, which have enhanced my technical skills, practical knowledge, and teaching effectiveness.

In addition to my academic and research activities, I have received an Appreciation Certificate from my current university, acknowledging my dedication, sincerity, and valuable contributions to the institution. I am deeply committed to teaching, mentoring students, and contributing to institutional growth through academic excellence and research innovation.
