Storage entomology

Dr. Suman Choudhary is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Entomology at SKN College of Agriculture, Jobner. She specializes in Storage Entomology, with a strong focus on eco-friendly management of stored grain pests. She completed her B.Sc. (Ag.) from RAU, Bikaner (2009), M.Sc. (Ag.) from AAU, Gujarat (2012), and Ph.D. from SKNAU, Jobner (2016). She qualified ASRB-NET in 2017. Her M.Sc. and Ph.D. research focused on the management of Callosobruchus chinensis in soybean and lentil under storage conditions, emphasizing sustainable and bio-rational approaches. She has over five years of teaching experience (since October 2020) and has guided postgraduate students in entomology. Dr. Choudhary has published 30 research papers in reputed journals (NAAS rated), along with 14 articles and 4 conference abstracts. Her research interests include stored grain pest management, varietal screening for resistance, population dynamics of insect pests, and the use of botanicals and novel insecticides in integrated pest management.
