Agricultural Entomology & IPM

Dr. dewa Ram Bajya is an Assistant Professor of Entomology at SKN College of Agriculture, Sri Karan Narendra Agriculture University, Jobner has been Born on 6thFebruary 1978 at Nagaur, Rajasthan, Dr Bajya graduated from SKN college of Agriculture, Jobner (Jaipur) Rajasthan in 2000 and obtained Master’s in 2002 from College of Agriculture, Bikaner and Ph.D. degree in 2012 in Agricultural Entomology from Choudhary Charan Singh University ,Meerut (UP) India.
Dr Bajya have more than 20 years of working experience on Insect-pest diagnostic & Bio-Intensive management of field crop pests and product dossier preparation and data analysis for Crop protection products. While working, he conducted several training programs; field demonstrations; field days on IPM/ IRM of field crops and stored grains.
Prior to this, Dr Bajya served the Apex Agricultural Research organization of India, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)- IIMR, New Delhi and Institute of Pesticide Formulation Technology (Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals), Govt of India, Gurugram as Research Scientist (Crop protection). He also served as Project Officer in ICAR - Central Institute of Cotton Research, Regional Station, Government of India, Sirsa (Haryana). Dr Bajya started his research carrier from premier agricultural institution, ICAR-CICR, RS, Sirsa, as Research Fellow since September,2002 and worked there in viral disease management and IPM / IRM in cotton crop. He has also served as Incharge, Bioscience Division as Additional duty, at IPFT,Gurugram. He has published 96 research articles, review papers, book chapters in scientific journal of national and international reputes. Dr.Bajya also served the professional societies, as Editors, Current Horticulture, Cotton Research & Development Association, CCSHAU, Hisar, Advances in Social Research, SKUAST, Jammu. Dr Bajya have delivered more than 85 TV / Radio talks on DD National / DD Kisan Channel and on All India Radio(FM Gold/ FM rainbow/ PrasarBharti) for dissemination of developed technologies to farmers / stake holders.
As an accomplished Scientist, Dr Bajya have been Bestowed with various awards such as Distinguish Scientist Award- 2017 by Hi-Tech Horticultural Society, Modipuram (Meerut), Life Fellow by Plant Protection Association of India (PPAI) and Entomological Society of India (ESI).
